Help your child gather all the old crayons together and break them into smaller pieces. Place it into your pre-heated oven (180 degrees) and bake for about seven minutes. Remove from oven and let them cool completely. This is a very easy way to make your own finger paint for your child, and they can help too. Take three tablespoons of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, half a cup of corn starch, two cups of water. Mix all the ingredients into a saucepan and heat until the mixture thickens. Let it cool and pour into containers. You can add different colour food colouring to make the different hues and then the finger painting fun can begin!
