3D Mitotic Division is a technological tool consisting of a mobile app and an activity guide that provides an AR-based learning experience that allows the user to visualize part of the real world in augmented reality using a digital device. This tool integrates tangible physical elements with virtual models to create an augmented reality experience in real time.
The activity guide contains image triggers that are read by the mobile app to provide an enriched visualization of all the phases of mitotic division. The app is designed to be used on any tablet or smartphone.
3D Mitotic Division can be used a teaching and learning tool by secondary as well as higher education teachers and students, particularly for teaching the fundamentals of biology to students in biological sciences, health care, and teaching university programs.
