Cruise Fanatic

When we discovered cruising on cruise ships rather than our own little boat, we went mad and booked a whole lot of cruises on Princess, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian.

This involved organising international and domestic flights to and from the cruises, accommodation before and after as well as rental cars as we combined road trips with each cruise.

We also booked long term parking for a few of the local cruises.

All this took a lot of organising and we looked around for a trip planner and organiser that would manage all activities of upcoming trips and cruises as well as provide a permament record for us to look back on.

We wanted to have a permanent and organised catalogue of all aspects of our past trips and holidays as the memory fades and the recollections of the participants diverge.

Necessity is the mother of invention and as there was nothing around that filled the bill for managing heavy duty cruise, we built a prototype system for our own use and it became an essential part of our trip planning, reminiscing and reliving great memorise.

Our family also wanted to be able to track our holiday while we were away so we built a guest logon system where they could view details of the cruises, flights, accommodation etc, but couldn't edit the information for obvious reasons.

Having gone that far we decided to make the system freely avaliable to other cruise fanatics and hope it will be as useful to you as it has been for us.

We added a whole bunch of useful information about the cruise ships of the major cruise line fleets, including photos, descriptions, staterooms deckplans and current schedules.

That led to the ability to search which ships are in a port on a particular day and to produce a funky grqaphical display of a ship's schedule.
