Download the free guide to Craters of the Moon thermal park and walkway to discover the unique natural thermal activity found within this geothermal wonderland including steam vents, hissing fumaroles, boiling mud and colourful craters. The app will help you navigate the walkway and provide you with information, stories, images and video to enhance your experience.

The App also covers the popular tourist attraction Huka Falls providing interesting facts, information, imagery and video of Huka Falls and the mighty Waikato River.

The GPS feature of the app identifies your location within the park on the map and there is a built in QR code scanner so that you can scan QR codes mounted on signage along the track so that you can quickly find information about a particular point of interest. The app also provides information about the local Taupo region including the Wairakei Tourist Park including accommodation and activities.
Proceeds collected from the small admission fee to the Craters of the Moon thermal park and walk and donations collected at the Huka Falls kiosk are donated back into the local Taupo community via grants to local charities. The Trust aslo administers scholarships made available to students living in the Lake Taupo catchment area to study conservation or tourism. The Trust works with the Department of Conservation running the kiosk at Huka Falls.
