A Copa do Brasil de 2013 será a 25ª edição dessa competição brasileira de futebol organizada pela Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF). Será a primeira disputada com o novo regulamento anunciado pelo então presidente da CBF Ricardo Teixeira em 2011, contando com a participação de times que disputarão a Libertadores do mesmo ano. Assim, essa edição contará com 86 participantes.

O torneio deixará de ser semestral, sendo disputado entre 3 de abril e 27 de novembro.

Os classificados para a Copa Sul-Americana de 2013 serão definidos entre eliminados até a terceira fase da Copa do Brasil. Os 8 clubes eliminados até a referida fase que tenham ficado entre os melhores no Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol de 2012 serão indicados à competição sulamericana.

Caso as 16 melhores equipes da Série A não sejam suficientes para completar as oito vagas, os quatro melhores da Série B completarão as vagas. Se ainda assim não for suficiente, serão convidados os clubes rebaixados na Série A.

The Brazil Cup 2013 will be the 25th edition of this competition organized by the Brazilian Football Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). It will be the first played with the new regulation announced by the then president of the CBF Ricardo Teixeira in 2011, with the participation of teams that will compete in the Libertadores in the same year. Thus, this edition will feature 86 participants.

The tournament will be semiannual, being played between April 3 and November 27.

The qualifiers for the Copa Sudamericana in 2013 removed to be defined between the third phase of the Brazil Cup. The 8 clubs eliminated by that stage they have been among the best in the Brazilian Soccer Championship in 2012 will be given to the South American competition.

If the top 16 teams in Serie A are not sufficient to complete the eight vacancies, the top four will complete the Series B vacancies. If it still is not enough, will be invited clubs relegated in Serie A.
