O Campeonato será disputado em quatro fases, a saber: Primeira Fase, Quartas de final, Semifinal e Final.
Na Primeira Fase, os clubes jogarão entre si em partidas de ida, totalizando nove jogos para cada clube. Em caso de empate em pontos ganhos entre dois ou mais clubes ao final da Primeira Fase, o desempate, para efeito de classificação, será efetuado observando-se os critérios abaixo: maior número de vitórias; maior saldo de gols; maior número de gols pró; confronto direto (entre dois clubes somente); sorteio. Ao final da Primeira Fase, os clubes colocados entre 1º e 8º lugares estarão classificados para a fase Quartas de final. Ao final da Primeira Fase, os clubes colocados em 9º e 10º lugares descenderão para a Série B em 2019. The Championship will be played in four phases, namely: Phase One, Quarterfinals, Semifinal and Final.
In the first phase, the clubs play each other in round matches, totaling nine games for each club. In case of a tie in points earned between two or more clubs at the end of the first phase, the tie for classification purposes, will be made by observing the following criteria: most wins; goal difference; greater number of goals for; direct confrontation (between two clubs only); draw. At the end of the first phase, the clubs placed between 1st and 8th places will qualify for the Quarter-finals stage. At the end of Phase I, clubs placed in locations 9 and 10 to descend Series B 2019.
