Reading and understanding simple texts - this is possible with the very easy and barrier-free capito app. You can read use understandable information and read or read aloud to you in different levels of difficulty and languages. Our barrier-free app helps you to understand information all kind of information.

Difficulties with reading? German is not your native language? The capito app is here to help you. You only need a capito QR code of the original text or just click through the available content.

► How does capito work?
- Click through the easy to understand content of the app like daily news
- Or: Scan a capito QR code and retrieve the easily understandable translations
- Select the desired language level (A1, A2, B1, original text)

► Who is capito?
capito translates difficult texts into easily understandable language and makes them available in an app. Why do we believe in capito? Because a large part of information used by companies and authorities is not understandable to everyone and thus does not reach people.

Being able to understand information is the basic requirement for an inclusive society and for successful communication. 60% of the population understands information up to language level B1. But 68% of the company and authority communication is offered at the much more difficult language level C1. With the capito app you can decide for yourself in which language level you want to read information.
