If you've resolved to get organized in 2020, the bullet journal may be just the tool you need. One part helpful planner, one part diary, one part meditation, creator Ryder Carroll devised bullet journaling as a way to cope with his own ADD at a time when there weren't a lot of tools available. "Rather than trying to keep notes like other people, I tried to figure out how to organize and sort information, the way that my mind works," Carroll explains. "Once in a while, I’d figure out a way to make things just a little bit better and focus on those things and refine those tools and techniques until I finally found the ones that were consistently effective." His unique strategy sparked a book, a website, and a vibrant community of participants who share strategies, design tips, and their own successes using the method.
