Blackhall Playgroup is situated in the church hall attached to St Columba's Church in the Blackhall area of Edinburgh.
The playgroup has use of a hall on the upper landing of the building with access to toilets on the ground floor.
The playroom is large and spacious with a small cloakroom area. The playgroup is provided by a voluntary committee which is made up of parents attending the group. The committee is responsible for overseeing the running of the playgroup including the employment and supervision of the playgroup staff. A manager is employed to run the playgroup on a day-to-day basis.
Blackhall Playgroup is registered to provide a daycare service to a maximum of 24 children between the ages of 2½ years and 4½ years of whom a maximum of 5 children will be between 2½ years. The service operates on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 9.00am and 11.30am and 12.15pm and 2.45pm.
