BD ATM Booth Tracker

In ancient times, people used to trade things for stuff they need, a system we know as barter exchange. But the system had its limitations and man was forced to come up with an alternative. Hence, we were blessed with money. With money still existing as the main way of trading, ways of storing and collecting money has evolved beyond limits. People now carry debit cards, credit cards and ATM cards in place of paper bills and money is stored in bank accounts by a significant population rather than hidden safes in the house or in underground chambers. Even a few years ago, ATM cards were more of a luxury than a need but now things have changed drastically. A lot of banks in Bangladesh now offer the ATM card service to collect money from their respective ATM booths. ATM booths have sprung out in numbers. But one problem still remains. How to find the booth of a specific bank in a city with as confusing road structure as Dhaka? The application we hope to develop is an ATM booth locator. Entering the name of the bank will allow the user to locate the nearby ATM booths. The location of the user will be determined by using Google maps. The advantage of the app will be that it will only show the ATM booth in the map which will make it faster and efficient as long as data usage is concerned. It will also be cost effective since not much information will be downloaded. With the increasing number of users of ATM cards in Bangladesh, this will greatly serve the smartphone using generation of the country if properly developed and advertised.
