BatteryGlue Pro: Battery Saver

This app will save you battery power and will try to eliminate the battery drain off your phone it does this in an easy and automatic way. This will conserve battery power what will result in a longer battery life.

This app is made in Tasker and Tasker App Factory. Everything in this app can also be done in Tasker itself. This app is for the people who do not want to sort out how Tasker works or find it too difficult.

The story of BatteryGlue ,
At first this app was a little project of mine. I wanted to learn what was possible with Tasker and with Tasker App Factory. I was amazed by the possibilities and became really enthusiastic and made my project bigger and bigger. Of course I ran into many problems, but with workarounds and help from other Tasker lovers I came closer and closer to a real Play Store worthy app. After working on it for more than seven months, I finally found it good enough to publish it (06-09-2015).

The day after I published it, I started at a new school at which I study for ICT. A fun fact: due to the progress of making this app I found out I wanted to become a programmer. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my app. And be sure to stick around, because I have some great ideas for BatteryGlue and for other not Tasker apps as well, so stay tuned!

Fun fact ,
Where does the name BatteryGlue come from? If you split the name you get ‘battery’ and ‘glue’. Everyone knows what those words mean, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the real meaning of the name. What my app is made to do, is make your phone battery stick around longer by making the battery drain slower (did you see the joke ‘stick’ around?). But why isn’t it Battery Glue (with space between the two words)? That is because the glue sticks on the battery so the words are glued together.

About the app ,
This app will save your battery with a few smart tricks. It is all based on the radios in your phone to disable and enable them on the right moments. This app will require a onetime setup before working fully automatic. There is also a screen with tips about battery tweaks: those tweaks are based on changing settings or certain app settings. I will give an example of an option in BatteryGlue:

Wifi saver,
This option will toggle wifi off when you leave the location where you had wifi and will also turn it back on when you return to that location. But it doesn’t determine your location with GPS, because that would result in a battery drain. Instead it looks at which cell towers you are connected with when you have wifi and will turn wifi off when you aren’t in reach of those cell towers and back on when you are in reach again.

Beside the Battery saving options there are also some in-app options to make it more user friendly. One of those is Activity Control. With Activity Control you can decide whether you want BatteryGlue to be active all the time, or only under a certain battery level. And for the people who want to turn BatteryGlue off, they can choose the option ‘never’.
