Konon bahasa Arab termasuk rumpun bahasa Semit dan merupakan salah satu bahasa tertua yang masih bertahan sejak hari ini. Atau bahkan ada yang mengatakan juga bahwa bahasa Arab merupakan nenek moyangnya semua bahasa.
