Making images using AutoCAD is very supportive whether it is engineering drawings engineering or civil engineering. With the commands of AutoCAD that support in making the drawing then make the users of AutoCAD application becomes easy. In this article I will discuss about drawing still in the field of mechanical engineering. In the previous article I have posted about Creating a Drawing Mechanical Technique and now I am writing a new article about other engine techniques.
Image Area Settings
Before Creating a 2D Engine Image Drawing with AutoCAD 2007, to make it easier then set the image area as well as the unit of measure used.
Initial Settings:
1. Run Autocad 2007
2. Set the unit of measure into Milimeters
3. Arrange the image area with Limits command with size 150,150
4. Set the distance between points on the drawing area by using the Grid = 5 command
5. the drawing area is at the center of the screen type in Zoom command or type Z and select all or type A
How to Draw
The steps that must be done are:
1. Make a circle with Circle diamter 60 command with base point ie midpoint on vertical straight line (at point 1)
2. Make a circle as in point 2 (two) with diameter 72
3. Make an outer circle with a diameter of 96
4. Make a small circle with a radius of 12 with the base point of the quadrant
5. Copy the circle (at point 4) to the edge of the circle of the bottom edge of the outer circle with the base point quadrant
6. Make a small circle within the circle you created in step 4.
There are several ways:
- By making a circle of diameter 12 and base point center of the outer circle or quadrant
- By using an offset command with a distance of 6
7. Move the small circle to the left and right of the circle to the bottom with a distance of 10
8. Copylah back the circle is at point 7 and above with a distance of 20 with base point is the center of the circle
9. Cut out the bottom of the outer small circle and outer circle line that comes in contact with the outer small circle using the trim command
10. Make a circle with a radius of 60, with an inner circle base center center
11. Make a horizontal line with the basepoint quadrant of the outer circumference (in step 10) from the left side to the right side of the circle. This line serves as a helper line in facilitating the next step
12. Copy the line up and down with a distance of 20
13. Cut the outermost circle line in step 10 using the trim command where the delimiter is the horizontal line in step 11, and also the lines that should be stepped.
14. Make a circle on the left and right, top and bottom right at the angle of line encounter by using circle command with radius 6 with TTR method
