Jungle Tales of Tarzan is a collection of twelve loosely connected short stories written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, comprising the sixth book in order of publication in his series about the title character Tarzan.[1] Chronologically the events recounted in it occur within Chapter 11 of the first Tarzan novel, Tarzan of the Apes, between Tarzan's avenging of his ape foster mother's death and his becoming leader of his ape tribe. The stories ran monthly in Blue Book magazine, September 1916 through August 1917 before book publication in 1919. (wikipedia)

This app is an audiobook containing the first 3 stories from Jungle Tales of Tarzan.

Audiobook narration is a performance art. Serious audiobook narrators spend time, energy, and expense to study and improve our craft and perfect our production skills just as an author takes steps to improve writing technique.

Audiobooks have come a long way since the Library of Congress introduced "talking books" for the blind and visually impaired in the early 1930s. Today, audiobook sales amount to $1.2 billion a year, with 11,000 new audio titles being released in a typical year. Most listeners still use audiobooks while driving or commuting, according to a consumer survey by Audio Publishers of America, but increasing numbers listen while exercising, doing housework or at other times.

Despite the increasing popularity of audiobooks, however, there still is a stigma attached to "just"listening to a book, instead of reading a print version. Reading experts, however, say that audiobooks are a great tool to expose all children to books, adding that the audio format can attract more young readers because it makes reading a "cool" activity.

Audiobooks are great to keep your mind off your workout, and if you stop at an amazing part of the book, you'll be that much more excited to get back to it.
