Estabelece portes de acordo com a complexidade, tecnologia e técnicas envolvidas em cada ato. A TUSS foi elaborada com base em rigorosos estudos desenvolvidos pela Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas da Universidade de São Paulo - FIPE e pelas entidades médicas do País, com o objetivo de disciplinar o rol de procedimentos, incorporar os recentes avanços tecnológicos, que ampliam a qualidade de atendimento dispensado ao paciente.

The Brazilian Hierarchical Classification of Medical Procedures (TUSS) is the order of the methods and procedures at both the therapeutic field and in diagnosis. Establishes sizes according to the complexity, technology and techniques involved in every act. The TUSS was drawn up on the basis of rigorous studies conducted by the Institute for Economic Research of the University of São Paulo - FIPE and the medical institutions of the country, in order to discipline the list of procedures, incorporating the latest technological advances that enhance the quality of care provided to the patient.
