Alí Babá es un joven leñador, muy pobre que vive con Morgine, su sirvienta, y su asno Boubou. Un día mientras corta madera en el bosque, Alí Babá ve a una banda de ladrones que se para frente a una gran roca. Se esconde y observa como jefe de los ladrones al pronunciar una fórmula mágica, abre la gran roca dejando al descubierto la entrada de una cueva. Cuando los ladrones se van, Alí Babá pronuncia la fórmula mágica y entra en la cueva en donde descubre un fabuloso tesoro.

Ali Baba is a young woodcutter, very poor people living with Morgine, her maid, and her ass Boubou. One day while cutting wood in the forest, Ali Baba sees a gang of thieves who stands in front of a large rock. He hides and watches as head of the thieves in pronouncing a magic formula, the big rock open revealing the entrance to a cave. When the thieves are gone, Ali Baba utters the magic formula and enter the cave where he discovers a fabulous treasure.
