You are given 12 apparently identical balls. All of them are also the same weight, except for one ball, which is slightly lighter or heavier than the rest. You need to find this fake ball. You have balance scales for this and only 3 attempts...
In each game, a fake ball is randomly selected. Its weight is also randomly selected. You need to drag the selected balls onto the scales and press the Compare button. Then repeat the weighing for another set of balls. You can weigh any number of balls, but of course, their number should be the same on both bowls.
Use paint boxes to give the balls a different color, this, for example, will distinguish those that are already weighted from the rest. When you find a solution, drag the ball into the Result box.
The game has several branches, each of which requires its own decision. You will have to find the right solution several times to score all 3 stars - this means that you have found a solution for several different branches. Although the program does not explicitly request this, you need to find out if the ball you are looking for is lighter or heavier than the rest. Therefore, do not rush to answer if you still have one attempt at weighing, as the program may not count this decision and will not give you an additional star.
The program also has a demo mode - where you make a random ball and select its weight, and the program finds this ball in three weighings. When the balls are placed on the scale, you need to press the corresponding button <, > or =.
The demo mode shows that the solution really exists and will even give you a couple of tips, but it will still be difficult to fully understand the algorithm behind it.
