1001 Docs & Meds

“1001 Docs and Meds” is an app made for people who want to keep track of their appointments and medications. Besides medical appointments, the app can be used to save all kind of appointments or meetings. The security check, through the pattern password, provides privacy for all the information kept inside the app. If the user doesn’t want to use the password each time they use it, by simply checking the box in the home page, the security check will be skipped. Based on the email address and the answer to a security questions, the password pattern can be changed. To add more sense of personalization, the app allows the user to choose a picture from the photo gallery and display it on the top of the menu drawer. Adding an appointment or a medication is very easy, and the user have the option to use the camera for text recognition. This option is recommended whenever there is enough light and the text to be read is clear, with a good size and a decent line spacing. The calendar and time picker dialogs help the user to choose the right day and time in an attractive manner. The navigation through the list of appointments and medications is very smooth, the item selected is highlighted and the user have the option to delete, edit or make a call. The passed appointments change the background color to gray. To avoid accidental loss of information, the user is prompted to confirm the deletion of any data. To indicate a medication that causes allergic reactions, simply add word(s) like “Allergy” or “Allergic reactions” in the “Notes” field when adding a new entry to the list. The app automatically notifies the user the day before the appointment or meeting. Make sure you check the notification bar! For the medications, the user is allowed to choose what time they want to be notified. If more than one medication must be taken at the same time, the complete list will be displayed automatically in the reminders’ list.
