アジサシCommon Tern（鯵刺、学名：Sterna hirundo）とは、チドリ目カモメ科に分類される鳥類の一種である。
日本では海岸に大きな群れがやってきて羽を休める。海に蠑い池や河川などの淡水域でも見られる。狙いをつけて水にダイビングして魚をとらえるが、狙いをつけるときには短時間ながらホバリング（停空飛行）をすることもある。コロニーで繁殖し、海岸や河川、湖畔の砂浜などに浅い窪だをつくり草などを巣材に用いて巣をつくる。2-3 卵を産む。
