《鬼武者 魂》將以全新「Unity 3D」遊戲引擎打造，內容以日本戰國時代經營策略為主，同時延續《鬼武者》系列豐富歷史故事與支線對話互動的遊玩模式。
遊戲中將會把日本區分為47個都道府縣，玩家可在在決定個人據點後，選擇加入武將人數超過400人以上的「幻魔」、「鬼」、「人」等陣營，進而在主線故事中拓展國家領土、培育武將，同時與其他國家征戰等策略經營，另外在戰爭部份也能體驗攻城戰、大合戰、天下割據戰等日本戰國紛亂情境，而內容也將收錄《大神傳》、《魔域幽靈》、《戰國BASARA》等知名作品角色。
此外，在《鬼武者 魂》聚集百人以上的日本人氣繪師，玩家可在遊戲中看見數千張獨家專屬精美插畫卡牌內容，同時台灣知名繪師「VOFAN」也會參與其中卡牌創作。
