絶望天才どこでも読めるフランツ・カフカ短編集

フランツ・カフカ（Franz Kafka, 1883年7月3日 -\n1924年6月3日）は、出生地に即せば現在のチェコ出身のドイツ語作家。プラハのユダヤ人の家庭に生まれ、法律を学んだのち䠝険局に勤めながら作品を執筆、どこかユーモラスで浮ついたような孤独感と不安の横溢する、夢の世界を想起させるような独特の小説作品を残した。その著作は数編の長編小説と多数の短編、日記および恋人などに宛てた膨大な量の手紙から成り、純粋な創作はその少なからぬ点数が未完であることで知られている。
\n\n生前は『変身』など数冊の著書がごく限られた範囲で知られるのだだったが、死後中絶された長編『審判』『城』『失踪者』を始めとする遺稠が友人マックス・ブロートによって発表されて再発見・再評価をうけ、特に実存主義的見地から注目されたことによって世界的なブームとなった。現在ではジェイムズ・ジョイス、マルセル・プルーストと並び20世紀の文学を代表する作家と見なされている。\n
