『ラブライブ！』は、学校で結成された架空のアイドルグループの奮闘と成長を描く日本のメディアミックス作品群です。これは、アスキー・メディアワークス、ランティス、サンライズの三社が、プロジェクトを行っています。

2010年に開始した雑誌『電撃G's magazine』の読者参加企画からはじまり、作中のアイドルグループが歌う楽曲のCD、作中のライブシーンを担当声優が再現するライブ公演、テレビアニメ・劇場アニメ、スマートフォンゲームなどでリリースされています。また、2016年1月から3月まで、民放で放送されたUHFアニメとしては異例となるNHK教育テレビ（NHK Eテレ）での放送が実現することになりました。

ラブライブには、スクールアイドルグループの「μ's（ミューズ）」を主人公に2010年に始まった『ラブライブ！』と、「Aqours（アクア）」を主人公に2015年に始まった『ラブライブ！サンシャイン!!』があります。

ストーリー

漫画版とテレビアニメでは若干あらすじがことなりますが、大まかには、東京都千代田区にある、ごくありふれた女子高校の「音ノ木坂学院」が舞台です。
そして、地域の人々の想い出に育まれた歴史と伝統あるこの学院も時代の流れには勝てず、3年後に蠫る学校統廃合の危機に瀕していました。そんな中、9人の生徒が立ち上がります。彼女たちは、自らがアイドルとして活動することによって、学校の名を世に広め、入学希望者を増やそうと考えました。そして、少女たちと、まだ見ぬファンのだんなで叶える物語＝スクールアイドルプロジェクトが始まります。
