ومعنا اليوم سورة فاطر، وهي سورةٌ مباركةٌ سماها الله تعالى بهذا الاسم العظيم، كلمةٌ تعني الفطر بمعنى الشق، فطر الشيء إذا شقه، وخاصةً إذا كان هذا الشق لأول مرة ففيها معنى الإبداع والاختراع، فمن أبدع شيئاً لأول مرة فقد فطره، ومن اكتشفه وفعله قبل غيره لأول مرة فهذا أيضاً قد فطره، وورد عن ابن عباسٍ رضي الله عنهما أنه عرف معنى هذه الكلمة، ولا غرابة فبعض القبائل تستعمل كلماتٍ بمعنى وقبائل أخرى تستعمل الكلمة نفسها بمعنى آخر، فعرف منها معنى الإبداع والاختراع من خلال خصمين جاءا يختصمان في بئر كلٌ يقول هذه بئري ، حتى قال أحدهما أنا الذي فطرتها فحُكم له بها، فعرف أنه يقصد أنا الذي حفرتها أولاً، ولعله تركها بعض الوقت فجاء آخر وطهرها ونقاها وأعاد حفرها من جديد فظن أنها له، فحُكم بها للذي فطرها أول مرة وحفرها أول مرة .
