فنان مصري، أطلق عليه جمهوره العديد من الألقاب منها “الملك” و”جوهره مصر السمراء” و”صوت مصر” و”ابن النيل” و”حدوتة مصرية”.ولد “محمد منير أبا زيد جبريل متولي” يوم 10 أكتوبر عام 1954م في محافظة أسوان، التي قضى بها فترة الصبا قبل أن يهاجر مع أسرته للقاهرة بعد غرق قرى النوبة تحت مياه بحيرة ناصر في أوائل السبعينيات.تخرج “منير” من قسم الفوتوغرافيا والسينما والتليفزيون بكلية الفنون التطبيقية في جامعة حلوان، ثم بدأ مشواره الفني بعد أن استمع إليه “زكي مراد” الذي أوصى الشاعر “عبد الرحيم منصور” بالاستماع إليه، ثم تولى الملحن “أحمد منيب” بعد ذلك مسئوليه تدريبه على أداء الكثير من الألحان النوبية.كانت البداية الحقيقية لـ”منير” من خلال انضمام الموسيقيّ هاني شنودة الذي جلب أعضاء فرقته “المصريين” ليرددوا ويعزفوا أغاني ألبومه الأول الذي لم يصادفه النجاح، تلا ذلك ألبوم من إنتاج نفس الشركة فنجح الألبوم وتبعته نجاحات متتالية في ألبومات نتاج لتعاون كامل مع فرقة “يحيى خليل” وملحنين وكتاب شباب وكبار.اشتهر الفنان “محمد منير” بموسيقاه التي يخلط فيها الجاز بالسلم الخماسي النوبي، وكلمات أغانيه العميقة، وأسلوب أدائه ومظهره الغير ملتزم بتقاليد الطرب والمطربين حيث عُرف بأدائه الخارج عن آداب الأداء المعروفة للمصريين.من أبرز الألبومات التي قدمها: “علموني عنيكي” و”بنتولد” و”شبابيك” و”أتكلمي” و”مشوار” و”أسامينا” و”أفتح قلبك” و”من أول لمسة” و”في عشق البنات” و”أنا قلبي مساكن شعبية” و”حواديت”.كما خاض الفنان المصري “محمد منير” تجربة التمثيل من خلال مجموعة من الأعمال السينمائية من أبرزها: “حدوتة مصرية” و”الطوق والإسورة” و”المصير” و”دنيا”، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة من الأعمال المسرحية منها: “الملك هو الملك” و”ملك الشحاتين” و”مساء الخير يا مصر”.نال “منير” خلال مشواره الفني مجموعة من الجوائز حيث حصل على جائزة أشجع ممثل عن دوره في فيلم “دنيا” عام 2005م، وجائزة أفضل مطرب في مسابقة الميوزك أوارد الشرق الأوسط عام 2008م، كما حصل على الجائزة البلاتينية لأحسن مطرب مصري وعربي من يونيفيرسال بألمانيا عام 2010م.
