الحمد لله الرحيم الرحمن، المنـزه عن الشبيه والمثيل والزوجة والولد والإخوان، الموجود بلا جهة ولا مكان، المنـزه عن كل ما لا يليق به من الصفات والنعوت، والملك القهار ذي الجلال والجبروت، وأفضل الصلاة وأتم السلام على سيدنا محمد خير الأنام، وخاتم أنبياء الإسلام، وعلى ءاله الطاهرين، وصحبه الغر الميامين، ومن اتبع منهاجهم واقتفى أثرهم إلى يوم الدين. كان في جملة المثنين على ابن تيمية التاج الفزاري المعروف بالفركاح، وابنه البرهان والجلال القزويني والكمال الزملكاني ومحمد بن الحريري الأنصاري والعلاء القونوي وغيرهم، لكن ثناء هؤلاء غر ابن تيمية ولم ينتبه الى الباعث على ثناهم، فبدأ يذيع بدعاً بين حين وءاخر، وأهل العلم يتسامحون معه في الأوائل باعتبار أن تلك الكلمات ربما تكون فلتات لا نطوي هو عليها، لكن خاب ظنهم وعلماوا أنه فاتن بالمعنى الصحيح، فتخلُوا عنه واحداً اثر واحدعلى توالي فتنه، إلا أنه استطاع أن يموّه ويضر بعض من صحبه كما ذكر تاج الدين السبكي تلميذ الذهبي، فقد قال في كتابه طبقات الشافعية (10/400) محذراً من ابن تيمية ما نصه: "واعلم أن هذه الرفقة أعني المزي والذهبي والبرزالي وكثيراً من أتباعهم، أضرَّ بهم أبو العباس بن تيمية إضراراً بيّنا وحمّلهم من عظائم الأمور أمراً ليس هيناً وجرّهم إلى ما كان التباعد عنه أولى بهم، وأوقفهم في دكادك من نار، المرجوّ من الله أن يتجاوزها لهم ولأصحابهم" اهـ.
فإذا كان هذا هو حال هؤلاء فلا يهولنك أيها الطالب للعلم ما يشيعه الفرق الوهابية عن ابن تيمية أنه شيخ الإسلام وناصر السنة، ورسالة الذهبي هذه شاهدة لكلام السبكي مع أنه أي الذهبي كان متأثراً بشيخه ابن تيمية لكنه مع ذلك لم يستطع إلا أن يوجه نصيحة له بعدما كثُر طعنه وتجريحه للمسلمين بالباطل. ثم ان ابن تيمية وإن كان ذاع صيته وكثرت مؤلفاته وأتباعه، هو كما قال فيه المحدّث الحافظ الفقيه ولي الدين العراقي ابن شيخ الحفاظ زين الدين العراقي في كتابه الأجوبة المرضية على الأسئلة المكية: "علمــه أكبر من عقله"، وقال أيضاً: "إنه خرق الاجماع في مسائل كثيرة قيل تبلغ ستين مسألة بعضها في الأصول وبعضها في الفروع خالف فيها بعد انعقاد الاجماع" اهـ. وتبعه على ذلك خلق من العوام وغيرهم، فأسرع علماء عصره في الرد عليه وتبديعه، منهم: الإمام الحافظ تقي الدين علي بن عبد الكافي السبكي قال في الدرة المضية (مقدمة الدرة المضية للإمام السبكي) ما نصه: "أما بعد، فإنه لمّا أحدث ابن تيمية ما أحدث في أصول العقائد، ونقض من دعائم الإسلام الأركان والمعاقد، بعد أن كان مستتراً بتبعية الكتاب والسنة، مظهراً أنه داع إلى الحق هادٍ إلى الجنة، فخرج عن الاتباع إلى الابتداع، وشذّ عن جماعة المسلمين بمخالفة الإجماع، وقال بما يقتضي الجسمية والتركيب في الذات المقدّس، وأن الافتقار إلى الجزء -أي افتقار الله إلى الجزء- ليس بمحال (معنى هذا الكلام الفاسد أن الله مركب من أجزاء ويحتاج إلى تلك الأجزاء والعياذ بالله)، وقال بحلول الحوادث بذات الله تعالى، وأن القرءان محدَث تلكم الله به بعد أن لم يكن، وأنه يتكلم ويسكت ويحدث في ذاته الإرادات بحسب المخلوقات، وتعدّى في ذلك إلى استلزام قدم العالم، والتزامه بالقول بأنه لا أوّل للمخلوقات فقال بحوادث لا أول لـــــــــــها، فأثبت الصفة القديمة حادثة والمخلوق الحادث قديماً، ولم يجمع أحد هذين القولين في ملّة من الملل ولا نِحلة من النحل، لم يدخل في فرقة من الثلاث والسبعين التي افترقت عليها الأمة، ولا وقفت به مع أمة من الأمم هِمة، وكل ذلك وإن كان كفراً شنيعاً مما تَقِل جملته بالنسبة لما أَحدث في الفروع" اهـ.
