في إطار دعم جهود الأمانة العامة للأوقاف في التوعية بالنبي الكريم عليه أفضل الصلاة والسلام، ودوره في الحضارة الإنسانية، عمدت الأمانة على تأليف كتاب "قصـــة حبيبنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم " ليتناول جوانب من سيرة الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وحرصا على مواكبة التطور السريع لاستخدامات تكنولوجيا الاتصالات والمعلومات في النشر والتوعية، يأتي مشروع تصميم وتطوير تطبيقات إلكترونية لـكتاب "قصـــة حبيبنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم " والذي يتضمن قصص إلكترونية وكتاب إلكتروني وبنك أسئلة بأربع لغات عالمية، وباستخدام أحدث أدوات الوسائط المتعددة من رسم وتحريك وصوت وتفاعلية وفق معايير عالمية، وتطويرها ونشرها من خلال تطبيقات الأجهزة اللوحية والهواتف الذكية والأقراص المدمجة، ومن خلال رابط بموقع الأمانة العامة للأوقاف. وفي إطار دور المركـز الإقليمي لتطويـر البرمجيات التعليمية كمنظمة إقليمية لا تهدف إلى الربح المادي، يعمل على تطوير تطبيقات الوسائط المتعددة بالمنطقة العربية من خلال التوظيف الجيد لأحدث تقنيات الاتصال والمعلومات ، يعمل المركز الإقليمي مع الأمانة العامة للأوقاف في تصميم وتطوير تطبيقات رقمية لـكتاب "قصـــة حبيبنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم "، (قصص إلكترونية - فيديو رقمي - بنك أسئلة - موقع إلكتروني - أقراص مدمجة - تطبيقات أجهزة ذكية)، في خطوة هامة للتوعية برسالة النبي الكريم وسيرته العطرة للوصول إلى الجمهور في كافة أنحاء العالم.
