تعريف السيرة النبوية
- السيرة لغة :

تعني السّنة والطريقة، والحالة التي يكون عليها الإنسان وغيره. يُقال فلان له سيرة حسنة، وقال تعالى: (سنعيدها سيرتها الأولى) (طه:21).‏

‏ - السيرة اصطلاحًا:

السيرة اصطلاحًا تعني قصة الحياة وتاريخها، وكتبها تسمّى: كتب السير، يُقال قرأت سيرة فلان: أي تاريخ حياته. والسيرة النبوية تعني مجموع ما ورد لنا من وقائع حياة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وصفاته الخُلقية والخَلقية، مضافا إليها غزواته وسراياه صلى الله عليه وسلم.

‏ أهمية السيرة ومكانتها:

‏ 1- السيرة النبوية هي السبيل إلى فهم شخصية الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، من خلال حياته وظروفه التي عاش فيها، للتأكد من أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يكن مجرد عبقري سمت به عبقريته، ولكنه قبل ذلك رسول أيده الله بوحي من عنده.

‏ 2- تجعل السيرة النبوية بين يدي الإنسان صورة للمثل الأعلى في كل شأن من شؤون الحياة الفاضلة، يتمسك به ويحذو حذوه، فقد جعل الله تعالى الرسول محمدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم قدوة للإنسانية كلها، حيث قال سبحانه: (لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة لمن كان يرجو الله واليوم الآخر) (الأحزاب:21).‏

‏ 3- السيرة النبوية تعين على فهم كتاب الله وتذوق روحه ومقاصده، فكثير من آيات القرآن الكريم إنما تفسرها وتجليها الأحداث التي مرت برسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.

‏ 4- السيرة النبوية صورة مجسدة نيرة لمجموع مبادئ الإسلام وأحكامه، فهي تكوّن لدى دارسها أكبر قدر من الثقافة والمعارف الإسلامية، سواء ما كان منها متعلقًا بالعقيدة أو الأحكام أو الأخلاق.

‏ 5- السيرة النبوية نموذج حي عن طرائق التربية والتعليم، يستفيد منه المعلم والداعية المسلم. فقد كان الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم معلمًا ناجحًا ومربيًا فاضلاً، لم يأل جهدًا في تلمس أجدى الطرق الصالحة في التربية والتعليم، خلال مختلف مراحل دعوته.

‏ 6- من خلال السيرة نتعرّف على جيل الصحابة الفريد، الذي كـان صدى للقرآن، وكان التطبيق العملي لحكم الله أمرًا ونهيًا.

‏ 7- تمتاز سيرة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم بأنها نُـقلت إلينا كاملة في كلياتها وفي جزئياتها، ولا تملك الإنسانية اليوم سيرة شاملة لنبي غير السيرة النبوية على صاحبها صلوات الله وتسليمه.
