على الشخص التركيز على الأمور التّي يجب القيام بها في اليوم، ووضع وقت مُحدّد لإنجازها ومُحاولة الانتهاء منها في هذا الوقت. عدم مُحاولة إنجاز أكثر من أمر في وقتٍ واحد، فذلكَ يؤدّي إلى عدم التركيز، أو عدم إنجاز أي من الأمرين مِمّا يزيد العبء على الشخص. وضع الأولويّات لإنجاز الأمور، فمثلاً إذا كانَ الشخص طالباً في المدرسة من المُهِم إنجاز فروضهِ أوّلاً قبلَ القيام بترتيب غرفته وهكذا. عدم القيام بأمور مُفاجئة أو خارجة عن الجدول الزمنيّ المكتوب، فذلِكَ يؤدّي إلى خلل في التنظيم والأوقات مِمّا يعمل على فشل الجدول لآخر اليوم. يجب كتابة أي تغيير في الأوقات حتّى لا يتعرّض الشخص لأي تشويش. يجب أن يُخبر الشخص عائلته والأشخاص من حولهُ بأنّهُ يتّبعُ جدولاً زمنيّاً لتنظيم وقته حتّى يُراعوه ويُساعدوه بالقيام بذلِك.
