هذا كتاب جامع للطائف الآيات والعبر والعظات، جمعها المصنف من فنون شتى، وقد صاغه بعبارات رقيقة وإشارات دقيقة؛ ليكون طرازًا على ثوب الوعظ، وفصًّا لخاتم اللفظ يعمل في القلب قبل السمع، ملتمسًا من الله عز وجل الرغبة في النفع‏، وقد اشتمل الكتاب على اثنين وخمسين فصلًا، وقد سماه المصنف بهذا الاسم لجمال ما به من العبارات والكلمات.
