السنة النبوية

السنة في اللغة هي السيرة، والطريق القويم،[ وقد وردت في القرآن الكريم بمعنى الطريقة المتبعة: السُنَّةَ مَنْ قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا Aya-77. - سورة الإسراء و قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنْتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّةُ الْأَوَّلِينَ Aya-38. - سورة الأنفال. وكلمة السنة إذا أطلقت فهي تنصرف إلى الطريقة المحمودة، وقد تستعمل في الطريقة المذمومة ولكنها تكون مقيّدة، كقول النبي:
««من سن في الإسلام سنة حسنة، فعمل بها بعده، كتب له مثل أجر من عمل بها. ولا ينقص من أجورهم شيء. ومن سن في الإسلام سنة سيئة، فعمل بها بعده، كتب عليه مثل وزر من عمل بها، ولا ينقص من أوزارهم شيء» [18]»
فالسنة هنا ضد البدعة،[19] والبدعة هي طريقة في الدّين مخترعة، تضاهي الشريعة،[20] وهي ما أحدث مما ليس له أصل في الشريعة يدل عليه.[21] قال أبو منصور الهروي الأزهري:
«السنة: الطريقة المحمودة المستقيمة[22]»
الحديث النبوي أو السنة النبوية عند أهل السنة والجماعة هو ما ورد عن الرسول محمد بن عبد الله من قول أو فعل أو تقرير أو صفة خَلقية أو صفة خُلقية أو سيرة سواء قبل البعثة (أي بدء الوحي والنبوة) أو بعدها.
والحديث والسنة عند أهل السنة والجماعة هما المصدر الثاني من مصادر التشريع الإسلامي بعد القرآن.والسنة عموما مبينان لقواعد وأحكام الشريعة ونظمها، ومفصلان لما جاء مجملا في القرآن، ومضيفان لما سكت عنه، وموضحان لبيانه ومعانيه ودلالاته. كما جاء في سورة النجم: وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى . إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى .
فالحديث النبوي هو بمثابة القرآن في التشريع من حيث كونه وحياً أوحاه الله للنبي، والحديث والسنة مرادفان للقرآن في الحجية ووجوب العمل بهما، حيث يستمد منهما أصول العقيدة والأحكام المتعلقة بالعبادات والمعاملات بالإضافة إلى نظم الحياة من أخلاق وآداب وتربية.
