البداية والنهاية : يوم القيامة

إنّ الموت حق علينا جميعاً، وعلينا أن نقوم بجميع الأعمال الصّالحة لنستعد لتلك اللحظة، ألا وهي لحظة الموت. فالموت ليس بالشيء المخيف بالنسبة للإنسان المؤمن المتيقّن بأنّه إذا عمل صالحاً في الدّنيا فسيلقى صالحاً في الآخرة، وأنّ رحمة الله تعالى ستتنزّل عليه، وأنّ أعماله ستنير عليه قبره إلى يوم القيامة، وتسهّل عليه الإجابة على أسئلة الملكين، وسينال يوم القيامة الثّواب والأجر على ما عمل من الصّالحات، وسيكون أجره . وأمّا الكافر الذي كذّب بدين الله تعالى، وبما جاء به رسوله - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم - واستكبر، وأصرّ على كفره، فإنّ الله تعالى سيجازيه أشدّ الجزاء، وسيكون قبره يوم موته ظلمةً عليه، محتويات ١ أول ليلة في القبر ٢ كلام القبر عند النزول إليه ٣ اجتماع الموتى إلى الميت ٤ الاستعداد للموت ٥ سكرات الموت ، نزلت في عذاب القبر ". وزاد مسلم:" يقال له: من ربّك؟ فيقول: ربّي الله، ونبيّ محمّد، . وخرّج الطبراني من حديث البراء بن عازب، عن النّبي - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم - قال:" يقال للكافر من ربّك، فيقول لا أدري، فهو تلك السّاعة أصمّ، أعمى، أبكم، فيُضرب بمرزبة لو ضرب بها جبل صار تراباً، فيسمعها كلّ شيء غير الثّقلين ". وخرّج أبو داود من حديث المنهال بن عمرو، عن زاذان، عن البراء بن عازب، عن النّبي - صلّى الله عليه وسلّم - قال:" إنّه ليسمع خفق نعالهم إذا ولوا مدبرين حين يقال له من ربّك؟ وما دينك؟ ومن نبيّك؟". وفي رواية له لفيقولانِ: من ربُّكَ؟ فيقولُ: ربّي اللهُ، فيقولان: ما دينُكَ؟ فيقولُ: ديني الإسلامُ،
دار البرزخ بأعمالهم مدانون مكافؤون فمكرمون بإحسانهم وبإساءتهم مهانون قال الله سبحانه وتعالى { ومن ورائهم برزخ إلى يوم يبعثون } قال مجاهد : البرزخ الحاجز بين الموت والرجوع إلى الدنيا وعنه قال هو ما بين الموت إلى البعث قال الحسن : هي هذه القبور التي بينكم وبين الآخرة وعنه قال أبو هريرة هي هذه القبور التي تركضون عليها لا يسمعون الصوت
وقال عطاء الخراساني : البرزخ مدة ما بين الدنيا والآخرة وصلى أبو أمامة على جنازة فلما وضعت في لحدها قال أبو أمامة هذا برزخ إلى يوم يبعثون
وقيل لـ الشعبي : مات فلان قال : ليس هو في الدنيا ولا في الآخرة هو في برزخ وسمع رجلا يقول مات فلان أصبح من أهل الآخرة قال لا تقل من أهل الآخرة ولكن قل من أهل القبور

وقد قسمته ثلاثة عشر بابا والله المسؤول أن يجعله عملا خالصا صوابا :
الباب الأول : في ذكر حال الميت عند نزوله قبره وسؤال الملائكة له وما يفسح له في قبره أو يضيق عليه وما يرى من منزله في الجنة أو في النار
الباب الثاني : في ذكر كلام القبر عند نزوله إليه
الباب الثالث : في اجتماع الموتى إلى الميت عند موته وسؤالهم إياه
الباب الرابع : في اجتماع أعمال الميت إليه من خير أو شر ومدافعتها عنه وكلامها له وما ورد من تحسر الموتى على انقطاع أعمالهم ومن أكرم منهم ببقاء عمله عليه
الباب الخامس : في عرض منازل أهل القبور عليهم من الجنة أو النار بكرة وعشيا
