الشيخ سيد محمد النقشبندي (1920- 14 فبراير 1976) أستاذ المداحين، وصاحب مدرسة متميزة في الابتهالات أحد أشهر المنشدين والمبتهلين في تاريخ الإنشاد الديني ، يتمتع بصوت يراه الموسيقيون أحد أقوى وأوسع الأصوات مساحة في تاريخ التسجيلات.
كلمة (نقشبندي) ومعناها في اللغة العربية : القلب، أي: نقش حب الله علي القلب. النقش بند بالفارسية هو الرسام أو النقاش والنقشبندي نسبة إلى فرقة من الصوفية يعرفون بالنقشبندية ونسبتهم إلى شيخهم بهاء الدين نقشبند المتوفى سنة 791 هجرية.
